Community Members Are Invited to Help Build A New Vision & Plan for Downtown Moose Jaw
MOOSE JAW - The City of Moose Jaw is working on a Local Area Plan that will define the future vision and development framework for the growth and revitalization of our Downtown. The Project team is currently gathering diverse and comprehensive community input.
Community Members Are Invited to Get Involved
During the week of May 30, the Project team will lead a Design Charrette with a goal of supporting the development of an innovative vision and plan for Downtown Moose Jaw. A Design Charrette is a design process where a multidisciplinary team (including residents, business owners, the municipality and design professionals such as architects, engineers, planners and landscape architects) creates a visual plan for an area over the span of several days.
Design Drop-in Sessions:
Dates: Tuesday, May 31 & Wednesday, June 1
Time: 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Location: Downtown Main Street Storefront, 338 Main Street North
Community members are invited to drop-in to review work in progress and provide input on design and visual ideas.
Presentation: Vision for Downtown Moose Jaw
Date: Thursday, June 2
Time: 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Location: Mae Wilson Theatre, 217 Main Street North
This presentation will provide a summary of the Design Charrette results including the proposed Vision for Downtown Moose Jaw. There will also be an opportunity to provide further feedback at the event and via a follow-up online survey.
