MOOSE JAW - After a weather delay, work will commence again tomorrow on the Fairford Street feeder line. Some properties in the area will be affected by a 12-hour water disruption.
Water disruption notices are being delivered today in advance of this planned work. Properties affected can expect to be without water from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm tomorrow, October 14. Residents in the following properties will be affected:
- Two residences on 100 Block High St E
- Terrace East
- Park Manor
- Chiropractic clinic on 200 Block Fairford St E
- Wakamow Place
- Residence on 200 Block Manitoba St E.
All properties will be notified by the City directly.
A potable water truck will be on site for residents on the 200 block of High Street East, beginning tomorrow. Residents can fill their clean water jugs with drinking water.
In an effort to reduce the number of water main breaks occurring this winter on Fairford Street, the Engineering department began this planned project to decommission a section of old feeder line in that area. This project will be in progress for most of October as the work continues down Fairford Street. No further water disruptions are expected as a result of this project.
The Engineering department is committed to rebuilding our infrastructure to ensure a more reliable, stable water service.
