The City of Moose Jaw offers and operates a number of environmental initiatives. Some are offered directly by the City, and some are delivered by the Private sector.
The Municipal Advisory Committee on the Environment (MACE) has compiled the following list of businesses/organizations, which
provide recycling services within the City of Moose Jaw. This information was derived from the Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council book "Reusing & Recycling in Saskatchewan" as well as provided by the local businesses/organizations.
City of Moose Jaw 694-4448 (Engineering Dept)
- Collection bins for mixed paper, clear glass & tin cans.
- Town & Country Mall parking lot
South Hill Pla-Mor Palace
- Landfill Site - Caribou St. E
- Area set aside for the collection of used oil, paints & automotive batteries.
- Area set aside for recycling metals, drop off bin supplied for all metal products, and appliances. Metals and appliances can also be dropped off at Silver Star Salvage 1998 Ltd.
- Eco-Centre on site for used oil & filters & antifreeze.
- Household Hazardous Waste Collection
- Once a year - usually October. Call the Engineers Department for further details 694-4448.
- City Of Moose Jaw/Wakamow Mulching Program
- City gathers discarded natural Christmas trees in mid-January with regular garbage collection & Wakamow mulches the trees for use in the Park area.

The City Committee Structure also includes the Municipal Advisory Committee on the Environment, which advises City Council on environmental initiatives and projects.
