Mayor's Welcome

Welcome to The Friendly City!

Moose Jaw is a healthy city with a healthy future. Our citizens regularly refer to our city as a great place to live, work, raise a family and retire. Our community is safe, friendly and blessed with an abundance of volunteer spirit and affordable activities.

Moose Jaw is also a great place to do business. The Canadian Federation of Independent Business ranks Moose Jaw as number four in the nation on their entrepreneurship index . . . ahead of every single capital city in the country and well ahead of the larger metropolises.

Moose Jaw is also a popular tourism destination city. Visitors consistently discover Moose Jaw to have the surprisingly unexpected. Our Tourist Information Centre is just off the highway, next to Mac the Moose, the biggest moose in Canada. The friendly folks there can point you to a myriad of attractions, events and places, including historic downtown Main Street.

Our sports, culture, recreation and meeting facilities are attractive and growing and intended to be used by both visitors and residents.

Whether you plan to stay for a day or a lifetime, we’re glad to have you here in The Friendly City. If you’re only with us for awhile, enjoy your stay and please plan to come back again. You’re always welcome.

Glenn Hagel
