1. Permanent Job Opportunities Permanent (and some term) positions that are open to the public are advertised on this Website and in the local newspaper. Depending upon the qualifications required for the position, advertisements may be extended to include other cities' newspapers. You are required to complete a separate application for each competition to which you are applying, specifying the job title and posting number. 2. Summer Employment Opportunities Every summer the City of Moose Jaw hires additional staff to help out in the Parks and Recreation and Engineering Departments. Previous staff will be recalled first according to their seniority. Following that, new staff will be hired based on qualifications. The period of employment will run for the duration of the summer and layoffs will be done in fall according to seniority. If you are interested in working for the City this summer, Employment Application Forms can be found on this web site or picked up at the Personnel Department, 4th floor, City Hall . It is recommended that you submit your application prior to March 31st as the hiring begins sometime in April (weather dependent), however, applications will continue to be accepted throughout the remainder of the year. 3. Temporary Office/Clerical/Administrative Opportunities f you are interested in filling a seasonal or term position, simply complete and submit a City of Moose Jaw Employment Application Form.
