The Personnel Department provides personnel services to all City departments and staff. These services include:
recruitment
wage and salary administration
performance and position evaluation
employees' benefit program
labour relations and collective agreement negotiations
It is also responsible for the administration of:
Workers' Compensation claims
long-term disability claims
employee return-to-work programs
The Department must comply with the collective agreements and legislation relative to Occupational Health and Safety, The Labour Standards Act and The Trade Union Act .
