Mayor and Council Profiles

Mayor Glenn Hagel Mayor Glenn Hagel previously served Moose Jaw as an MLA from 1986 to 2007, having served as Speaker of the House, Cabinet Minister and Chair of Saskatchewan’s Centennial 2005 Celebration.

Mayor Hagel sees Moose Jaw as a healthy city with a healthy future.  His top priorities for this term are economic development and improved access to affordable housing.  He sees working in the spirit of partnership as the key to success in both areas as well as with the Saskatchewan Government to complete the Union Hospital upgrade.

Mayor Hagel looks forward to the benefits for Moose Jaw people from the future downtown convention centre and arena and the new field house constructed this term.

Mayor Hagel and his wife Karen have resided in Moose Jaw since 1973.  They are very proud of their two daughters, Kristin and Meredith, who grew up in Moose Jaw.
