The Moose Jaw River, Spring Creek and Thunder Creek water courses and valleys provide a natural environment for wildlife to enter the City. Residents along these natural park lands are frequently visited by nuisance wildlife that includes beavers, raccoons, skunks, coyotes and deer.
The Pest Control Program, administered by the Public Works Department, is a residential complaint driven program which obtains the services of a local pest control contractor to remove skunks, raccoons, badgers, pigeons, and beavers from within the City. Dead animals located on City property will be removed by the City.
Resident are directed to contact Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment for any concerns regarding foxes, coyotes, cougars, deer, pronghorn antelope, moose, birds of prey and migratory birds.
