The Engineering Services Department has the goal to provide adequate quantities of potable water to the tap and at volume and pressure required for fire fighting.
The City of Moose Jaw receives water from the Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant, located about 20 km NE of Moose Jaw. Water treatment is the responsibility of the Buffalo Pound Water Administration Board (BPWAB), which consists of representatives from Moose Jaw and Regina.
