Every summer the City of Moose Jaw hires additional staff to help out in the Parks and Recreation and Engineering Departments.
Previous staff will be recalled first according to their seniority. Following that, new staff will be hired based on qualifications. The period of employment will run for the duration of the summer and layoffs will be done in fall according to seniority.
The Youth Activity Centres and the Playground Program will be operating again this Summer creating employment opportunities with Moose Jaw Parks and Recreation. Employment opportunities available for these programs are:
- Youth Activity Centre Supervisor: term of employment will run from July 4 to August 12, 2016 with the hourly wage being $20.78. Applications for this job opportunity will be accepted until May 27, 2016;
- Playground Program Director: term of employment will run from July 4 to August 12, 2016 with the hourly wage being $12.85 (student wage) or $16.97 (non-student wage). Applications for this job opportunity will be accepted until May 27, 2016; Playground Leadership Workshop Poster
- Playground Coordinator: term of employment for this position runs from June 6 to August 19, 2016 with the hourly wage being $20.78/hour. Applications will be accepted until April 29, 2016.
Please note, mandatory orientation for successful Youth Activity Centre Supervisor applicants will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. And mandatory orientation for successful Playground Director applicants will be held on Monday, July 4, 2016.
