Before You Arrive
There are two methods of transportation that will bring you directly to Moose Jaw – car or bus. There is no nearby passenger train service.
You will have to arrange your own transportation from the Regina airport to Moose Jaw. Government assisted refugees will be picked up by the MJMC staff.
If you travel by airplane, then the closest airport is Regina International Airport, 75 km east of Moose Jaw. From there you would have to travel by bus or car. There are car rentals and taxis at the airport, but a taxi ride from Regina to Moose Jaw costs a lot. There are some shuttle services (small buses that can pick you up when pre-booked).
Roaming Buffalo Shuttle phone 306 630 4365
Wrights R&J Shuttle phone 306 681 6691
Universal Cab phone 306 690 6820
Wrapture Limousine phone 306 684 9015
If you plan to travel by bus, the Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) has a bus depot in downtown Regina. Both STC and Greyhound have services that come to the downtown bus depot in Moose Jaw.

Moose Jaw has four different seasons: Winter (December 21-March 20), Spring (March 21-June 20), Summer (June 21 to September 20), and Fall (September 21 – Dececember20). The coldest season is winter and the warmest season is Summer. Moose Jaw has many sunny days, even when it is cold.
In winter, the temperature can get as low as -40o C (-40o F), but it usually does not get much lower than -20o C (-4o F). If there is a wind, the wind chill factor can make it feel much colder. Warm, heavy clothes are needed.
In summer, the temperature can go as high as 40o C (104o F), but does not usually get much higher than 30o C (86o F). Light, loosely fitting clothes are comfortable in the summer.
If you drive a vehicle (a car or truck), make sure to have the vehicle inside in the winter, or be close to where you can plug it in to electricity. In very cold weather, vehicles may be very difficult to start if the engines are not kept warm.
