Lindens, also known as basswoods, are an increasingly popular urban tree. Known for their dense, pyramidal shape and large heart shaped leaves, they are often described as very neat looking trees. They produce small yellowish flowers in summer which are largely inconspicuous except for their sweet scent. Flowers are followed by small nutlets in fall.
